The end of war in 1945 did not bring the long-awaited freedom neither to Poland nor many other countries in the east-central Europe. Instead they found themselves in the soviet area of influence and so the German occupant was replaced with the puppet governments controlled by Moscow. But polish people were not going to come to terms with such state of affairs. During the entire period of PRL (Polish People’s Republic) a large number of them fought against the regime. The post-war armed resistance of the Cursed Soldiers was replaced by the next generations who continued their fight with demonstrations, strikes and the creation of the so called “second circulation”.
